Mille regretz

This is an arrangement of the hauntingly beautiful chanson most often credited to Josquin des Prez, a French composer who flourished during the late 15th and early 16th centuries. He influenced many of his contemporaries and later composers as Josquin’s music spans the transition between the Middle Ages and High Renaissance. He was such an esteemed composer that many would credit him as the composer of their own works to increase the chance of performance. This arrangement showcases how versatile pan is, even in performing works half a millennium old.
